Bryce Zabel’s Superman Smackdown

FOR WHAT IT’S WORTH | Bryce Zabel: Superman Returns (2006) vs Superman: The Movie (1978)

Here’s a great review of Superman Returns in comparison with the original Superman movie (I love Bryce’s new concept in movie reviews).

I agree with him on just about everything, but I think my decision would have come down in a very close call for the 1978 film. Yes, it was less real, but it held more emotion for me.

Review: Superman Returns

Superman is back.

Lex Luthor is back, too.

It’s really good.

But is it a triumph?

First, a little explanation: This movie is a sequel/restart. Back in the seventies and eighties, Christopher Reeve (who for many is Superman) starred in four Superman movies.
