On further reflection there is one more thing I want to say about The Prince Of Egypt. The second trailer (included on the DVD) paints the film as a “triumph of the power of the human spirit”. In other words, they’re saying this movie shows how humans can do amazing things when they put their minds to it. That’s just wrong. In some ways it lived up to (and exceeded) expectations; in others, it left me slightly disappointed, but overall it was an excellent film.
