Comments on: “Heroes” hits bottom and grabs for the shovel

The difference between SA and Heroes, though, is that SA is built to be episodic with an arc, while Heroes is one big story per season – an individual episode doesn’t tell its own story. To me, that makes it easier to watch SA weekly without condemning the entire series. Even if many (I won’t go so far to say ‘most’) episodes aren’t great, the entire arc can still satisfy.

With a show like Heroes, each moment in the show is integral to the entire series in a more important way than in episodic shows, so stringing a series of missteps together hurts more.

I’ll still watch, though. Like you said, I’m committed.

I'll keep watching Heroes simply because I'm committed now, it's like Stargate Atlantis, almost every episode disappoints but I keep coming back for more. Heroes has become a little like that. I have noticed this season that we are focusing on some of the more traditional comic book powers such as 'speed' and 'ice'. Lees latest blog post..Brisbane Storms

I’m usually with you… I stick around for the long haul. And I’ll stick around with Heroes, too. But I won’t enjoy it nearly as much.

I am only 3 or so episodes into this season, and so far, am not as happy. BUT I have been known to stick with shows LONG after they have jumped the shark, so I will stick with Heroes, and my Hiro, through thick and thin, until the end

Well, that’s a shame. The first season was very good, IMO. I think you missed some good TV there. Despite its flaws, I even liked the second season. This season is a bit more of a mess.
