By Jeff, on October 29th, 2009 I mentioned this a while back, but this guy decided to use the power of the internet to break Star Wars up into 15 second segments and have people submit their versions of those segments. Then his plan is to put those segments back together into one “cohesive” movie.
Apparently he’s pretty far along with it, and now we have a trailer!

By Jeff, on October 27th, 2009 Seriously, where else are you going to get a combination like that?
I’ve got three video clips for you today, and one of them is not fiction. See if you can figure out which one.
Firefly is back!
That’s right, Nathan Fillion has suited up one more time as Mal Reynolds. Unfortunately, it’s only a reference to his Firefly character on his new show, Castle, but it’s pretty cool, with a couple of good lines . . . → Read More: Firefly is back, Singing Batman, and Cyborg Rats
By Jeff, on October 24th, 2009 So here we have week 4 of Stargate Universe and week 3 of Sanctuary.
As I mentioned last week, on SGU they’re heading for a close encounter with a star. It’s obvious to everyone but the characters that the ship is doing this on purpose to recharge its energy supply. So really this episode holds no drama other than wondering if any secondary characters will be killed when they try to mutiny in order to . . . → Read More: SyFy shows reviews: SGU and Sanctuary
By Jeff, on October 23rd, 2009 The little clip shows exactly why Jar-Jar (and to some extent, the entire Phantom Menace film) is so unliked by so many. And it’s hilarious.
Skip straight to the 1:00 mark to start. You’re not missing anything but the standard film.
Star Wars, starring Benny Hill as Jar-Jar… that’s just inspired. That it works so well is proof that Lucas had lost his mind when he wrote that character.

By Jeff, on October 17th, 2009 There are some out there who would call this “weak 3″ of the show. This is definitely the slowest pacing of a Stargate series yet. The premiere was good, but mostly consisted of people freaking out (understandably) about the situation they were in. By the end of the premiere they at least had a plan to survive for a little while longer, with the help of the ship’s guidance and Rush’s ability to interpret what . . . → Read More: Stargate Universe, week 3, Darkness
By Jeff, on October 7th, 2009 This is just too perfect. I actually laughed out loud at a couple.

My favorites are by far Spider-Man’s and Green Lantern’s.
They need one for The Tick, though… SPOOOOOOOOOON!
By Jeff, on October 7th, 2009 Before jumping into the new stuff, just a quick note on the second episodes of shows that started last week…
Heroes – an improvement. I both enjoyed and was annoyed by the Sylar/Parkman bit. It was obvious, but fun and frustrating to watch. FlashForward – again, an improvement. I like the expansion of the ‘conspiracy’ and that they’re not holding back on moving forward with the investigation. Makes it feel like it will be a . . . → Read More: Premiere weeks 2009, part 2 – SGU and Clone Wars
