My kids have been watching Signing Time on our local PBS station here for over a year now. They love the show so much that we got them one ofTuesday TubeWatch: Signing Time

Note: Link contains profanity - Mel Gibson clears up that mystery about whether he's an anti-Semite. By Timothy Noah Well, this is really disappointing on a few levels. Gibson made someMel Gibson: man vs. movie star

There are some out there who would call this "weak 3" of the show. This is definitely the slowest pacing of a Stargate series yet. The premiere was good, butStargate Universe, week 3, Darkness

I thought I was done with posting about Watchmen. But then I found this: There are a huge number of these Marvel vs. DC clips, and a lot of them areTuesday TubeWatch: the final Watchmen-related post

It's a popular debate lately: are these social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc.) bad for us? Recently an Oxford professor, Baroness Susan Greenfield, made some rather provocative speculations aboutTuesday TubeWatch: Social networking will eat your brain!

Well, my last sci-fi news post was a bit late, but all this news is at least recent-ish. :) First off, two bits of Battlestar Galactica related stories: The Sci-Fi channel hasMore recent sci-fi updates

Two lines, and I’m sold

The full trailer for Doctor Who’s sixth season is out. Watch it:

This bit did it for me:

Off-screen, scary sounding alien: Fear me. I’ve killed hundreds of Time Lords.

The Doctor (not impressed): Fear me. I’ve killed them all.

Game; set; match. I’m in. Everything else is gravy. And there’s some marvelous gravy…

  • River: “This is the day he finds out who I am.” Presumably in the episode entitled “The Doctor’s Wife” written by Neil Gaiman.
  • Something huge is going on in the TARDIS 38 seconds into that trailer.
  • The Doctor: “I’ve been running my whole life. Now it’s time for me to stop.”

This is some game-changing stuff. I fully expect my brain to explode when we hit the mid-season break at episode 6 or 7 (I still don’t get what justifies a mid-series break for a 13 episode series…).

I say it again… CAN’T WAIT!
