Why Dads of girls watch sports

I am not a big sports fan. I enjoy watching tennis from time to time, but have even lost touch with that mostly. I like watching televised sports in short bursts. A couple of plays at a time is about the most I can handle of a football game. I can’t carry on an intelligent conversation about sports for long.

Apparently, the time is coming when that will change.

You never know what’s going to make an impact on your kids. I don’t mean an immediate “wow!” impact, I’m talking about the long term stuff. It may not even be a big deal when it happens, and you might not know of its impact for years to come.

Review: No Ordinary Family – Pilot

I managed to see a limited release of ABC’s new show “No Ordinary Family” online yesterday. Not sure if it’s still available, but if it is these instructions will get you there.

Given the show’s premise of a family of superheroes, the pilot episode is predictably an origin story. And that’s a good word to use, too: predictable.

Hearing the words “That’s how I roll, baby” coming out of my Dad’s mouth makes the time I spent looking for pictures of everyone facing the camera well worth it.
