Identity: 7 day challenge

I’ve felt like I’ve been neglecting this blog lately, and wanted to get focused on it again. As it happens, I ran across the 7 day Challenge from Andrew Emmett‘s blog (via Lee’s entry), which seems like a good idea to get me started again.

Oprah’s Online Training – live experience review

Well, I was on the live session tonight (read about my experience with last week’s recorded session). For the most part, as I expected, the experiences were the same. There were some bumps in the data stream early on (and once later), but it got ironed out within about 15 minutes, so I was satisfied with the transmission itself. Oprah’s Online Training – experience review

I’m currently watching the recorded version of Oprah’s first session of her “class” on A New Earth, which is about “new spirituality”. For the purposes of this post, however, the topic is irrelevant. What I’m interested in is how it’s being pulled off as an example of a massive, live, online facilitated event.

Odeo podcasting

Well, I’m working on podcasting technology for work, so I figured I’d better get my feet wet and learn how to do it. As such, here is a lame example of me talking into a microphone for 16 seconds (approximately):

Incidentally, this player is Google’s, as seen in Gmail. Not the prettiest, but it’s the only one I could figure out how to use with WordPress, so far.
